Cash out of a trade without closing it.

Headroom will lend you USDC against an open Hyperliquid position. The trade keeps running, and you repay whenever you like.

ETH price

You can draw up to $1,100 in USDC while the trade runs.

Three steps, and the trade never stops

This is how the app is planned to work when it opens. Nothing here is live yet.

  1. Fund a wallet

Sign in with X or email and get a wallet with no seed phrase. Send it USDC and move what you want to trade to Hyperliquid.

  2. Open a trade

Go long or short on any Hyperliquid market. Each position sits in its own isolated margin.

  3. Draw against it

Take up to 50% of the position's equity out as USDC while it stays open. Repay any time, or close the trade and repay in one step.

One number decides what you can do

Headroom is how far the price can move before Hyperliquid liquidates the position. A long at $3,000 that liquidates at $2,100 has 30%.

30%

Draw line

You can draw while the position has at least this much headroom.

15%

Auto-close line

If headroom falls this far, Headroom closes the trade and repays the loan before liquidation can happen. In the example above that’s at $2,471.

1% a day

Simple interest on what you’ve drawn, counted by the second. No fee to open or close a loan.

Ordinary Hyperliquid positions

Each trade will be a normal Hyperliquid position in isolated margin, filled on its order book. Headroom only adds the credit line on top.

Lend USDC and earn half the interest

Lenders will deposit USDC on Arbitrum into one pool. Interest from every loan is paid in as it builds up, and 50% of it goes to lenders.

Development

Over a year with the pool fully drawn, borrowers pay 365%. Lenders earn 182.5% and the protocol keeps the same. These are simple rates with no compounding, and they drop when less of the pool is drawn.

Withdraw any time
Take out any amount the pool has free. No lockups.
A fair queue
If the cash is lent out, withdrawals wait in a first-in, first-out queue paid as loans come back.
Earning while you wait
Money in the queue keeps earning until it’s paid out.

$ROOM

Headroom’s coin, on Solana. Holders are planned to share in what the protocol earns.

Launch
A pump.fun launch, on Solana.
Holder share
Planned: 50% of the protocol’s cut of interest is paid to $ROOM holders in USDC on Solana, split by how much each wallet holds at a snapshot.
Development
The other 50% pays for building and running Headroom.

A public ledger of every loan

When the app opens, every loan will be listed as it happens, with links to check the position on Hyperliquid and the funding on-chain yourself.

Headroom is still being built. Follow along on X for when it opens.

Follow on X
What happens if the price moves against me?

While headroom stays above 30% you can draw. Between 30% and 15% nothing changes except that you can't draw more. At 15%, Headroom closes the trade and repays the loan from it before Hyperliquid's liquidation price is reached. Whatever is left stays yours.

Which markets can I trade?

Any perpetual market listed on Hyperliquid.

How does money go in and out?

As USDC on Arbitrum. You move it between your wallet and Hyperliquid from inside the app.

Are there other fees?

There's no fee to open or close a loan. You still pay Hyperliquid's usual trading fees and funding, and network fees when you move money.

Who holds my funds?

Each user gets their own wallet. How keys and positions are held will be published in full before the app opens.

Why isolated margin only?

So a loan is backed by exactly one position and can never touch your other trades.
